The Great Hall
The Great Hall tells the global story of the First World War. Journey through the war, scene by scene and year by year, seeing the challenges and technological changes that emerged.
Step into the Great Hall and be transported back 100 years to a peaceful pre-war Belgian village. Visitors are then plunged into the conflict and confronted by scenes of trenches, massive guns, planes and tanks giving a glimpse of the reality of the Great War.
While the Great War is seen in black and white by many, Sir Peter Jackson shows it in vivid colour, through hundreds of photographs from the era which have been painstaking colourised to melt away the last 100 years.
Experience the desperate horrors and triumphs of the human spirit that characterised this tragedy.
